Joe Abdalla leads TrialCard's strategic and business development efforts for the Product Access Support, Patient Affordability, Customer Experience Management, and Pharmacy Services suite of services.
Joe's passion for market access grows from his vast experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, including his executive management experiences with United BioSource Corporation (UBC), HealthStar Communications, and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), along with his background as a licensed healthcare professional.
Joe's more than 25 years of pharmaceutical industry experience includes a variety of sales, marketing, and executive positions with concentrated focus on commercial, P&L management, M&A activities, and overall general management.
A registered pharmacist and member of the UNC School of Pharmacy Board of Visitors, Joe holds a BS in Pharmacy from UNC Chapel Hill and an MBA from Campbell University. In his free moments, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife, Sonya, and their three boys.
JAMES "BART" BARTELLONI
VP, Business Development
Bart serves as TrialCard's Vice President of Business Development. He brings 15 years of experience in business development and strategy across numerous business markets. In his current role, Bart leads TrialCard's penetration into areas beyond the pharmaceutical industry in the US Healthcare market.
Before joining our TrialCard team in 2014, Bart successfully helped build and sell the IP for a software company and spent the past 5 years as a C-Level strategist focusing on the technology market. Before his career as a businessman, Bart spent 11 years as a TOPGUN-qualified F-14 Naval Aviator.
Bart graduated from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD with a degree in Mathematics. When not working to make TrialCard a better solutions provider, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kathy, and their 4 children and also charting everything within the financial markets as a Chartered Market Technician.
President & CEO
Mark is the President of TrialCard. An accomplished executive with a more than 20-year record of achievement and demonstrated success in Sales, Marketing, and Operational Leadership, Mark is skilled at building high-performing teams that exceed expectations. He has extensive experience working with Executive Level Management to formulate business and organizational strategy, while defining a company vision with progress milestones and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in support of the company strategy. Mark's passions are the growth and development of his employees and the overall development of a vibrant culture at TrialCard.
Prior to joining TrialCard, Mark was the Executive Vice President/COO of the Goyak Group. Mark also spent 17 years with Allegis Group, where he held a number of executive-level positions responsible for Sales, Operations, and the overall P&L, with revenues that exceeded $300 million.
A graduate of the University of Mary Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Mark currently resides in North Raleigh with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children. Mark is a board member for the North Wake County Baseball Association and has been coaching youth sports (baseball, basketball, and soccer) for the past 10+ years. On the weekends, Mark can likely be found on a sports field somewhere.
VP, Pharmacy Services
Dick Domann is the Vice President of Pharmacy Services. He joined TrialCard on February 1, 2013, following 33 years of working in the pharmaceutical industry. In 1980, He began his pharmaceutical career as a sales representative with McNeil Pharmaceuticals and in 1983 moved on to GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where he filled roles of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, state and federal government, trade relations, and corporate operations.
Dick left GSK for Kerr Drug in North Carolina and was responsible for the growth and development of Kerr Health specialty pharmacy business, as well as Kerr long-term care pharmacy operations. He has consulted with numerous companies in the pharmaceutical industry in areas ranging from big pharma sales and marketing and channel management services to retail pharmacy distribution.
Dick earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse and completed graduate work in counseling psychology at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. He completed the Leadership North Carolina Program in 1997 and the Leadership Cary program in 2005.
Dick has been active in North Carolina politics at the state and local level. He is a past Chair of the Cary Chamber of Commerce and has served as president and assistant district governor for Rotary District 7710. In 2004, he published a novel through Author House titled, "The Ghost on Number 2."
As Vice President of Marketing for TrialCard, Bob is responsible for the strategic direction and promotion of TrialCard products and solutions, as well as product management and product development. Joining TrialCard in 2010, Bob was charged with building a marketing platform that differentiated TrialCard in a competitive marketplace. As part of this, he played a critical role in developing TrialCard's vision for its explosive growth. Bob is passionate about developing customer-centric messaging that illustrates TrialCard innovation and customer service.
Having led and launched pharmaceutical brands across multiple therapeutic areas and channels, Bob has deep-seated perspective and insight into the pharmaceutical decision maker.
In addition, his experience across marketing, sales, managed care, and sales training throughout a 28-year career with Allergan and GlaxoSmithKline yields clear understanding of the pharmaceutical customer.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Economics from North Carolina State University. He is an avid bicyclist and participant in water sports. When not biking, he enjoys spending time on the water with his family.
Chief Information Officer
Stan Kurpiel joined our TrialCard team in April of 2013 and is responsible for all aspects of TrialCard's technical landscape, including IT Operations, Application Development and Support, Business Relationship Management, Business Intelligence, Database Management, and the Project Management Office.
Stan has demonstrated a career-long commitment to nurturing talent and strives to build teams that work seamlessly with the business. He brings over 25 years of experience in leading diverse, global IT teams along with wide business acumen across various businesses. Included in his experience are many successful implementations of Global ERP solutions along with deep experience in M&As in relation to IT and Business Integration.
Prior to joining TrialCard, Stan was Vice President/CIO for Pergo LLC for 14 years and also held a number of Senior IT executive-level positions within the IT consulting, Manufacturing, and Medical Distribution industries.
Stan has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration of Business Computers from Clarion University in Pennsylvania.
A resident of Wake Forest, Stan is fully involved in the lives of his three grown children. When not building teams and systems, Stan extends his building expertise to projects outside the office. After Hurricane Sandy, Stan rebuilt and restored his home on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He reconstructed it as a dedicated retreat where friends and family can gather for rest and relaxation!
VP, Analytic Services
Paul is the Vice President of Analytic Services for TrialCard. He focuses on the delivery of consulting solutions that help clients build greater value for their brands. Additionally, he is responsible for developing analytic products that leverage the company's data assets.
Paul was tapped to develop the company's Analytics group in 2013. He has a passion for helping clients understand and deconstruct their data and information so they can best strategize for their business challenges. Not one to get caught up in the "data for data's sake" mentality, Paul believes that his team's job is to answer business questions with data, not to swim happily in it.
Prior to TrialCard, he headed Analytics for InfoMedics (now a part of Physicians Interactive Group), where he built their practice and focused on creating analytic solutions designed to maximize return on investment for pharmaceutical marketing tactics. In addition to his work in the pharmaceuticals' vertical, his 25 years of healthcare experience also includes the managed care and government sectors. Paul is an experienced pharmaceutical market researcher, accomplished writer, and recognized industry expert. A dynamic speaker, Paul frequently presents at pharmaceutical summits and conferences on topics including technology, communications, and analytics.
Paul holds a Master's Degree in Health Policy and Management from Harvard University and a Bachelor's Degree in English and Psychology from Oberlin College.
Paul enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughter. Outside the office, he can be found watching football-as in European football, or soccer-most probably sweating out a match featuring his beloved FC Barcelona. Força Barça!
Matt serves as TrialCard's Vice President of Operations. He brings 8 years of TrialCard experience as a Project Manager, Executive Project Manager, Operations Director, Product Manager, and National Account Manager. In his current role, Matt is responsible for leading teams that implement, execute, and deliver TrialCard products to our customers. He oversees the Customer Experience Center, production and warehousing, patient hub services, business process outsourcing, internal business process improvement, and program management teams. Matt is a firm believer in setting goals with his team that are just beyond reach, and successfully achieving them.
Before joining our TrialCard team in 2007, Matt spent 8½ years as an Army officer, culminating as a company commander in northern Iraq. His time in service included many leadership and staff roles including unit command, operations, training, personnel management, and logistics.
Matt graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in pre-law and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant of Infantry. When not working to make TrialCard a better solutions provider, he enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife, Amy, and their 4 dogs.
VP, Client Services
Tim brings over 20 years of leadership and sales experience to his current role as Vice President of Client Services.
Tim's experience guides his vision for TrialCard' + "'" + 's continued sales growth, centering on delivering best-in-class, patient-centric healthcare solutions. He is passionate about "knowing the patient" and using this understanding to drive intelligent adherence and compliance programs.
Before joining TrialCard, Tim's career focused on business intelligence, data analytics, and data management. He held positions at a number of leading technology companies, including SAS Institute and Informatica, continually exceeding quota and driving growth.
Tim received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and is working toward completion of his MBA from North Carolina State University.
Tim enjoys hiking with his wife and two daughters, attending swim meets, curing and smoking his own bacon, and prepping to defend his crown as the reigning TrialCard BBQ champion (hint: the secret is in the sauce). Aside from his family, Tim's many passions include trail running, mountain and road biking, organic vegetable gardening, college football, and craft beers.
VP, Human Resources
Aimee currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at TrialCard. Aimee joined TrialCard in 2008 as the company's first HR Generalist when she took on the responsibility of creating the role and function of the HR department. Over the last six years, Aimee's list of accomplishments include supporting the growth of the company from 70 to 243 employees, developing a company-wide employee review process, implementing a new incentive program, and managing and administering all aspects of the company benefits program, to name only a few.
TrialCard's employees are Aimee's clients. She keeps them in the forefront of her mind with every decision that is made. It's critical to her to always balance the needs of the company with the needs of the employees.
Prior to joining TrialCard, Aimee served as HR Assistant and HR Generalist during her 9 years at Charles and Colvard, Ltd.
Aimee has a degree in Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Aimee and her husband, Brian, have been married for 15 years and have 3 sons. Together, Aimee and her family are active supporters of local animal rescue foundations. In her spare time, she is an avid runner.
VP, Business and New Product Development
Burke is the Vice President of Business Development and New Product Development. He has over 22 years of experience in sales and marketing roles, including 11 years in the sales department at TrialCard. During his time with TrialCard, Burke has held roles as Sales Executive, Sales Director of Strategic Accounts, and now, his current role as Vice President.
Burke prides himself on fostering talent and building upon people's strengths, while developing teams to achieve financial goals and success. Burke's passion for TrialCard sales shines through with his ongoing formulation of new business strategies and product development.
Prior to working with TrialCard, Burke worked for a broadband wireless company providing high-speed microwave solutions that connected cell phone towers and building-to-building communication links.
Burke is a Raleigh native and graduated from North Carolina State University with a Business degree focused on Marketing. In the winter, Burke can be found snowboarding in the mountains of West Virginia. In the summer, he spends his spare time at the Outer Banks, NC, and no matter the time of year, Burke can always be found in the kitchen or grilling with family and friends.
Chief Compliance Officer
As Chief Compliance Officer, Michele is responsible for building and maintaining a best in class compliance program. Joining TrialCard in 2015, Michele brings over 15 years of legal experience in the healthcare industry to TrialCard, having previously held roles as Director of Compliance with LipoScience, Senior Corporate Counsel and North American Privacy Officer for Quintiles, and Senior Corporate Counsel and Privacy Officer with Allscripts.
Atchison is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for US Laws and holds undergraduate degrees in Business Management and History from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and a law degree from the University of Memphis.
A North Carolina native, Michele currently resides in Clayton with her husband, Alex, and two very busy children. When she is not attending one of her children’s various activities, she can usually be found on the tennis court.
Chief Financial Officer
Mark Bogovich is a seasoned executive with over twenty years of experience in the healthcare services industry. He leads the overall financial strategy for TrialCard. Prior to joining TrialCard in 2015, Mr. Bogovich held Chief Financial Officer positions at Medtech, a nationally accredited, leading post-secondary education network of colleges in six states and the District of Columbia, and ATI Physical Therapy, a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy clinics within five states.
Mr. Bogovich has held various senior level finance and accounting roles at both publicly traded and private companies, including RehabCare Group, Inc., Miller Orthopedic Clinic, Inc. and Horizon / CMS Healthcare Corporation. Mr. Bogovich received his B.S.B.A. in accounting from Shippensburg University.
John Boney has executive responsibility for TrialCard's Customer Experience Center as well as all corporate recruiting efforts. John came to TrialCard in 2015 after more than 20 years with Allegis Group, where he held leadership positions in Operations, Sales, Marketing, Strategy Development, and Change Management. John's primary areas of focus are driving efficiencies across the wide range of functional areas employed in the operation of TrialCard' + "'" + 's tele-detail and tele-promotion programs, and working in conjunction with other department leaders to determine the proper candidate profiles and develop talent acquisition strategies that will further position TrialCard as an employer of choice for top-performers.
John is a graduate of Loyola University of Maryland, where he was a four-year scholarship basketball player. He and his wife Cathy live in North Raleigh and three children. John is a board member of the Wake County Basketball association and has been a youth basketball coach for over 10 years.
Mark is responsible for overseeing sales, account strategy, and business development activities to further drive TrialCard's growth and expansion into new markets such as product access support and tele-promotion. Mark has a strong background in leading successful pharmaceutical sales organizations, marketing, training, and leadership experience. Mark's personal pharmaceutical industry experience drives his insight into the needs of TrialCard clients and the value of TrialCard solutions.
Mark holds BS in General Studies and a minor in Political Science from East Tennessee State University. Mark, Emily and two children reside in Wake Forest.
VP, Market Access Solutions
Scott Dulitz, MBA, is Vice President of Market Access Solutions, where he is responsible for the product development and strategy of TrialCard's reimbursement HUB, nursing & adherence, and patient assistance service lines. Mr. Dulitz partners with an internal cross-functional team of IT, operations, client services, and marketing to develop best-in-class patient support programs for TrialCard's biopharmaceutical clients.
Before Mr. Dulitz joined TrialCard, he worked for Taiho Oncology as Director of Market Access Programs and Professional Relations. There, he led the strategic design and implementation of a limited specialty pharmacy network and patient support program for an oral oncology product. Prior to that role Mr. Dulitz held senior leadership positions in operations, product development, IT, and business development with UBC, an Express Scripts company, and AccessMED, a McKesson Specialty and US Oncology company. During his tenure at UBC and AccessMED Mr. Dulitz developed and managed several innovative, highly visible patient support programs for specialty drugs spanning a variety of therapeutic areas (oncology / hematology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, immunology, nephrology, neurology, pulmonology, endocrinology, transplant, radiopharmaceuticals, and mental health).
Mr. Dulitz has been an invited speaker at many national conferences on market access related topics. He has also authored several articles on distribution and patient support services for specialty drugs.
Mr. Dulitz received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from Iowa State University and his Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Kansas.
Vice President, Virtual Engagement
Michael Carlin joined TrialCard in 2015 after a 22-year career with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) that saw him advance through various sales leadership and product management roles. Michael\'s bio-pharmaceutical marketing experience has included developing and executing strategic programs to drive brand awareness, expand patient access, and increase market share of products. Michael brings specific expertise in Share of Voice, HCP Engagement, and Patient Lead Generation programs, and drives the strategic direction for TrialCard\'s award-winning Customer Experience Center to include the expansion of tele-promotion and tele-detail solutions.
Michael holds a B.S. in Business from Marquette University and enjoys exercising and spending time with his wife and children.
