No Rare Disease Patient Goes Forgotten

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, my first thought was, “The health and safety of thousands, maybe millions will be impacted. This will affect EVERYONE.”

My second thought was, “How will this impact our rare disease patients?”

In the last year, we have been inundated by the news surrounding the coronavirus and how the healthcare industry is being impacted. Through it all, it has been inspiring to see healthcare workers continue to pay attention to rare disease patients with the same care, concern, and dedication. During a pandemic that has consumed so much of the industry’s time and energy, rare disease patients have not been forgotten.

We at Mercalis (formerly TrialCard) never lost steam in our efforts to educate about and provide diagnostic tools for rare disease patients, proving that we are dedicated to those who fly under the radar even in the worst of times.

If one measure of our worth is how we care for the least, then we showed our very best during this exceptionally challenging time.
